Why this section exists
The data-center boom landed in my backyard. My corridor, from Washington, DC, through Baltimore and into Northern Virginia, holds roughly 13% of the world's data centers, about 32% of North America's. That construction is one of the biggest forces reshaping what concrete has to do: bigger pours, tighter schedules, and real sustainability pressure. The infrastructure analysts talk megawatts and land. Almost nobody talks about the concrete under it. That gap is what this section is for.

These are point-of-view pieces, not FAQ stubs. When people search data centers they are mostly looking for jobs, not step-by-step answers, which tells me the useful thing to offer is a clear take from someone actually on the pours. So this is where the longer, opinion-shaped writing lives: what the build-out demands from concrete, and why the boom that built my territory is now the force pushing the whole industry toward lower-carbon mixes.

Why write a whole section about data centers and concrete?
Because I live in the middle of it. My territory holds roughly 13% of the world's data centers, and the construction boom is now one of the biggest forces pushing concrete toward stricter performance and lower carbon. Almost nobody is writing about the concrete side of that story.
Is this technical or opinion?
Mostly point of view. The demand for step-by-step answers here is thin, but the demand for a clear take on what is actually happening is not. So these read as informed opinion from someone standing on the pours, not as how-to stubs.
Working through a mix, a spec, or a pour problem?
